  • Outside In’s Injection Drug Users Health Services (IDUHS) promotes health and healing for people who are using injection drugs. This program is guided by a harm reduction model, where everyone deserves respect and is a valued member of the community. We serve nearly 5,000 people who exchange over 1 million syringes each year. Additionally, we provide overdose prevention trainings and distribute naloxone. In the last 5 years, we have had over 2,000 overdose reversal reports through our IDUHS program.

    Some of Outside In’s Drug User’s Health Services include:

    • Syringe exchange

    • HIV and Hepatitis C testing

    • Safer sex supplies

    • Overdose prevention & naloxone training

    • Fentanyl testing

    • Referrals to health care & drug treatment

    • Motivational interviewing

    • Safe needle disposal

    • Vein care education

    • OHP enrollment

    Adults 18+ are eligible for these services at no cost.

  • Access to Narcan: JMIR will increase access to Narcan to keep onsite at our new office in case of an overdose. Access to Sterile Needles, Tourniquets, and other Sterile Equipment: JMIR will keep sterile injection equipment on site so that our participants who are still using it have access to safety equipment.

  • Oregon Change Clinic’s Substance Use Disorder counseling treatment is 10-20 hours per week. This includes groups, individual sessions with a licensed counselor, case management, consultation with medical director, and wellness activities. Specialty programs are available for African Americans and veterans.

  • FSR Addiction Services: Finding and Sustaining Recovery (FSR) is an integrated behavioral health treatment program designed to help those dealing with addiction build sober and healthy lifestyles. FSR Addiction Services include Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Wellness Movement, Group Therapy, Peer Support, Sober Housing, Individual Therapy, and Nutrition.

  • Project red is an initiative from the alano club of portland dedicated to raising awareness around overdose prevention and increasing the availability and accessibility of overdose prevention supplies and trainings, with a focus on BARS, RESTAURANTS, STRIP CLUBS, ENTERTAINMENT VENUES, and community based organizations. We also work with artists, bands and promoters to coordinate harm reduction and overdose prevention activations at national tour stops.

  • Because recovery looks different for everyone, The Miracles Club provides support to addicts who are either not ready or choose not to maintain complete abstinence from drugs or alcohol. Our team of Certified Recovery Mentors bring essential supplies to houseless addicts who are living on the streets, suffering from Substance Use Disorder or other mental health concerns. We supply clean needles, Narcan, hand sanitizer, bandages, thermal undergarments, socks, gloves, hats, jogging suits, bottled water, and other necessities.
